Ideas and Resources to support a Primary Project about Tudors using the Internet.

Hands on activities.

These hands-on activities are designed to encourage children to find out about different aspects of the Tudors.

Each Activity Sheet is designed to print out onto an A4 sheet of paper.

(N.B. - if your printout does not fit onto a single sheet of A4 paper try adjusting the font in your browser's preferences file or reduce the scale in your printer-driver software.


1. Voyages of discovery

Print out the Tudors Map activity sheet.

Can you find out who made the voyages of discovery marked on the map?

2. Word Search

Print out the Word Search activity sheet.

Can you find 20 words connected with the Tudors?

There are clues on the activity sheet.

3. Writing

See Elizabeth I's signature and the alphabet as the Tudors would have written it.

Can you create your own elaborate signature?

4. Time Line

Print out the Time Line activity sheet.

Can you place the people and events in the right place on a time line?

Use the Links page to find places on the World Wide Web which can tell you when the people lived and when the events happened.

5. The Tudor Family Tree

Print out the Tudor Family Tree activity sheet.

Can you fill in the missing names and find pictures of some of them?

6. Tudor Society

Print out the Great Chain activity sheet.

Can you label the links on the Great Chain and make drawings of examples from different levels of society.

7. Tudor Monarchs

10. Tudor Banquet

Print out the Tudor Banquet activity sheet.

The Tudors ate many of the same things we do but also things that we would consider strange today.
